Too Much For Me To Handle

5 Feb

I am so sorry that I never got onto to recap Gossip Girl and Once Upon A Time!

However, both of them hit it out of the park with Gossip Girl possibly revealing who Gossip Girl actually is! Amazing! And Blair getting married and then running away with….Dan? Craziness and I am very excited to see where they take it on Monday.

Once Upon A Time is sadly not on tonight because of a little thing called the Superbowl. Last week’s episode was okay, I did like the David and Mary Margaret scenes. Although, I don’t understand why he just doesn’t leave his wife. That still baffles me. The whole thing with Sidney and Regina was very good, but I don’t know it probably won’t be an episode that sticks out to me in the long run.

Hands down the best show that was on this week was The Vampire Diaries. They once again hit it out of the park with another jaw dropping episode. Seriously, ask my roommate I was freaking out when watching it. Especially when Elena and Matt went into her house, and followed the trail of bloody handprints to find Alaric. That was just too much for me to handle. Too too much. And then, the heartbreaking scenes with Caroline and watching her dad die. Just so sad. The opening of the coffin and the reveal that it was Klaus’ mother should lead to interesting story lines coming up.

Also, I can’t end without mentioning the two shockers that were on Parks and Rec and The Office. Dwight is the father of Angela’s baby!?!?! Tom and Anne!?!?! Okay that is my reactions

So i don’t know when I’ll be back but soon! Also, side note that whole watching new shows proved to be a disaster. However, I did manage to catch up on two shows and that would be Awkward. and Downton Abbey. Two amazing shows! Highly recommended.

Ciao! (I’m currently in my first semester of Italian….)

Magical, Magical Place

27 Jan

So sorry that I am so behind! This is what happens when you return to college and are taking 18 credit hours. Yikes!

I was planning to do a full review of Once Upon A Time, not now I’m just going to give a couple of little thoughts that I had on what went down.

First off, LOVE the Mary Margaret and David stuff. They never could quite avoid each other as much they needed/wanted to. Obviously, the kiss was amazing but I actually really like a couple of seconds beforehand when David had walked into the diner and Mary Margaret was there. It was so cute how they were both trying to avoid each other so they came at 7:45 instead and ended up running into each other.

I thought the fairytale world part was a little of a letdown. I was really excited to see how they finally got together in that world, and it ends with Snow completely forgetting who James was. I don’t know, it just kind of rubbed me the wrong way just because I just really want to know what happens! That is the thing about this show, I am left just wanting more and I never want it to end. That is the sign of a really good show, when they can leave the viewers saying that they want more.

The other big storyline came with the mysterious new stranger who came to town. This was a shock to Henry and Emma as no one was really allowed to come to town. Even Regina was surprised by it, and had asked Emma to investigate. She did and went to ask him about the mysterious box that he had been carrying around. He revealed that there was a typewriter inside and that is where that storyline left off. My thoughts on who he is, is that he is the writer of Henry’s book a la the Brothers Grimm or Hans Christian Anderson. I’m interested to see where this storyline and who he actually is goes.

This episode was pretty good and I have to say I’m impressed! Next review will either be the new Once Upon A Time that is on Sunday or the 100th episode of Gossip Girl on Monday (which is supposed to be fantastic!)

Vampires, Werewolves, and Witches, OH MY!

20 Jan

Vampire Diaries is hands down one of the best shows on television right now. The twists that keep coming throughout the show, I never saw any of them coming!

Im going to start with how Bonnie (Kat Graham) was having all of these nightmares on how to open up the fourth coffin which has proved to not be able to be opened so far. She discovered that the only way that she could open it would be able to get the help of her mother who she has not seen since she was a little girl. She enlists the help of Elena (Nina Dobrev) who finally learns about the whereabouts of the coffins. She was not happy to have been out of the loop and Stefan(Paul Wesley)  was not happy that she was brought into it, but I’m going to get to more about those two later on.

Anyways, one of my favorite moments of the episode came when Damon(Ian Somerhalder) walked in and said he had found Bonnie’s mother, and the banter that followed between him and Elena. Such cute stuff because it was a playful, flirty version of their awkwardness after the kiss last week. Damon then told Bonnie about the kiss which Elena was not that happy about. Bonnie tried to get it out of Elena if she liked the kiss but Elena wouldn’t budge, which meant that the kiss is probably going to come up later on.

Bonnie and Elena arrive at Bonnie’s mother’s house and learn about why she left and what has happened to her since, however it all goes horribly wrong when they find out that her mother and her mother’s adopted son have been compelled by one of Klaus’s hybrids all so he can find the location of the coffins. Stefan gets shot and Elena must help him recover by pulling the pieces of wood out of wound. This leads to a tender moment and makes the watchers believe that Stefan is almost maybe back.

The most heartbreaking scene comes next, with some superb acting done by Paul Wesley. Elena finally admits to Stefan that she kissed Damon and the emotions that just run across his face are unbearable. My heart was literally breaking with his as he realized that she really is moving on. This was another one of my favorite moments, just truly amazing job done by Paul Wesley.

The episode continues with Klaus (Joseph Morgan) finding his coffins but Damon was able to get the one that can’t be opened away before he shows up because he was warned by Bonnie and this makes Klaus even more upset. Bonnie slowly begins to trust her mother again and allows her to help them, maybe. Stefan walks into the house and then punches Damon in the face because of the kiss. And the best moment of the entire night, came when Klaus had his coffins back and he was walking away from them with his hybrid just a step behind him and then bam! The heart of the hybrid is pulled out by none other than Elijah! Ah yes the return of Elijah has finally happened!

Side note, I didn’t mention the two side stories of Tyler learning to control his sire and Alaric and Meredith Fell becoming closer. They were important, just not mentioned right this second.

And thats a wrap! Amazing Episode, makes me fall in love with this show every single time I watch it! Im also going to give props to The Office, Grey’s Anatomy, and American Idol for all having equally fantastic episodes. It was a good night on T.V. last night for sure!

Tune in on Monday (if I will be able to blog) for another recap of one of my favorite shows! Once Upon A Time!

So Little Time…and So Behind

20 Jan

So as I sit here writing yet another blog post, I realize how far behind I am! I have barely recapped half of the shows that I have been watching just because I always keep forgetting to!

However, I cannot possibly recap every single show that I watch so I think that I am going to narrow it down to just a couple of my absolute favorite shows! One of which is going to be on tonight and that would be The Vampire Diaries.

Love, love, love this show. I originally did not start watching it because it wasn’t my cup of tea but a couple of my friends insisted to me to catch up and watch it and I did and immediately fell in love with the show. There are so many twists and turns that it is impossible for anyone to even begin to spoil it all. I have to admit I am a person who looks often at spoilers, and so I do know what happens most of the time.

Also, I am starting to watch a bunch of shows that I never did and really break out of my shell a little bit. The two shows that I just started at the beginning of are Alias and Dexter. I’m going to keep you updated on where I am in these shows too and let you know what I think. Also, I think I’m going to start watching White Collar too. Currently, I am on Season 1 Episode 3 of Alias and Season 1 Episode 5 of Dexter. I’ll keep you guys posted!

Thats it for now! Happy T.V. watching (Thursday is one of the best nights)

Best Night On Television? I Think Yes!

13 Jan

By far the best night of television would be Thursday, however first I am going to backtrack a little bit because I just watched Revenge

This show is finally getting back to its roots. Yes, it is only in its freshman season but for awhile there it wasn’t as deliciously awesome as it used to be in the beginning. I have to admit I was starting to wane from this show for a bit. Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) was not doing the whole takedown thing each week and it seemed that the show was starting to lack a little but from it. I mean the show is called Revenge, there should be some type of it each week! Anyways, this was the episode I was waiting for. It took forever but it was finally here! Both Emily Thorne and Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe) were in top form tonight. They each manipulated like no one else could!  All leading up to the shocking conclusion which I won’t spoil because it was just that juicy! Also, I think I have a new favorite duo in the form of Emily and Nolan (Gabriel Mann). Such a fantastic pairing and this episode proved that they are stronger as a team than when they are working alone.

Alright, so many, many shows were on last night and I think I’m going to do about half of them in this post and then half in another.

First up would be Parks and Recreation. Fantastic show. Really terrific cast and writing and it is completely under appreciated today when you have shows like Modern Family and The Big Bang Theory (which are still hilarious shows and deserve all the awards that they get) Anyways, Parks and Rec came back yesterday with a fantastic episode. Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) was reinventing her campaign after she openly admitted to her relationship with Ben (Adam Scott) However, her new team consisted of all her fellow employees at the parks office and when they are all involved then something is bound to happen. The funniest moment of this entire episode would have to be when the rally was on ice and they were all slipping and sliding trying to make it to the stage. However, being as it is Parks and Rec everything was light hearted and fun in the end.

More T.V. followups to come from Thursday night later on…Stay Tuned!

Just a Tad Bit Behind….

13 Jan

So sorry that I am now just posting! I missed two days of television! That is unthinkable! Although I did watch a lot of T.V. in my absence!

First stop is Wednesday with the delightful lineup from ABC. Suburgatory and Happy Endings are two staples in my mind, well kind of staples. I think Suburgatory has the potential to be a pretty good show. Sometimes it does fall a little flat, and it definitely has its moments of being like really that just happened.

Suburgatory is essentially about a father and daughter who move from New York to the Suburbs and all the people and what happens to them in the suburbs. I never really noticed how creepy the relationship between Tessa and George (Jane Levy and Jeremy Sisto) was until last episode when they sat watching T.V. and he had her arm around her. I don’t know about you but that just seems more coupley than father daughter. The other big moment that stood out to me in the episode was the relationship between Dallas and George (Cheryl Hines and Jeremy Sisto). It finally progressed a little bit and I started to think, hey I really like them as a couple. Surprising, since Dallas is married but I have faith that the two will end up together. Thats what always happens anyways! Nothing else really happened in that episode though, except Tessa helped the school counselor admit he was gay, even though everyone already knew that. Weird, yes I know.

Onto Happy Endings! Alright, I’m gonna admit it, I LOVE this show. One of the best comedies that is on T.V. right now. People may say that it is a rip off of Friends, but it is so not! The character are different and there are different dynamics between the characters and it is just plain awesome! I love it! So this episode was all about how Dave’s(Zachary Knighton) dad was coming to visit them and how excited they all were that “Big” Dave was arriving! Then they find out he has a new girlfriend, and it’s Penny’s(Casey Wilson) mom. Hilarious hijinks occur when Penny starts acting like Dave is her younger brother and Dave basically starts acting like a child because everything is changing. Another reason why I love this show. Just pure awesome. Anyways, a side storyline is Alex, Max, and Brad(Elisha Cuthbert, Adam Pally, and Damon Wayans Jr.) who are trying to see if there is a call girl business running out of the Chinese restaurant across the street. How they go about this is amazing, the acting and writing was out of the park for this because I was laughing pretty hard. They find out that it actually is an English class and that they were wrong the entire time. The whole episode was great and I can’t wait for next weeks.

Now I know I promised the People’s Choice Awards but I just can’t bring myself to talk about this train wreck. I will say best moments hands down were, Neil Patrick Harris trying to have a musical number as the opening, Kaley Cuoco as host, Nina Dobrev winning Favorite TV Drama Actress, and How I Met Your Mother winning Favorite Network TV Comedy. Other than that it was long and drawn out and it was really not worth many people’s time

Alright, I think wrote enough for one post. A couple of small things, I have yet to watch Revenge, it is still sitting on my DVR, when I do there will be a little recap on that. Also, I figured I won’t bombard with the Thursday T.V. Show quite yet. They include Parks and Recreation, The Office, Grey’s Anatomy, The Vampire Diaries, and The Secret Circle. I did watch 30 Rock but I don’t feel confident in talking about since I don’t watch it on a regular basis! Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays are the big nights on T.V. so look out for those! Alright I will post soon!

Middle of the Week Blues? Definitely Not!

11 Jan

Okay, here is blog post numero dos!

So since I am currently on my winter break for school, I will be updating my blog more often because I have the time and frankly not much else to do…that is how boring it is.

Anyways, on tap for tonight is Suburgatory, Happy Endings, Revenge, One Tree Hill, and special guest The People’s Choice Awards. I am going to do my best to get mostly full recaps of the shows I mentioned above. Also, I may watch Modern Family but I’m not a regular watcher so my recap would probably not be the great.

All of these posts are strictly for entertainment purposes and just to put my thoughts out there right about now. Currently, It’s a lot of fun! Also, It depends when I actually watch the shows to when my recaps are actually going to go up!

Wednesday night television, here I come!

Allie :)
