So sorry that I am now just posting! I missed two days of television! That is unthinkable! Although I did watch a lot of T.V. in my absence!
First stop is Wednesday with the delightful lineup from ABC. Suburgatory and Happy Endings are two staples in my mind, well kind of staples. I think Suburgatory has the potential to be a pretty good show. Sometimes it does fall a little flat, and it definitely has its moments of being like really that just happened.
Suburgatory is essentially about a father and daughter who move from New York to the Suburbs and all the people and what happens to them in the suburbs. I never really noticed how creepy the relationship between Tessa and George (Jane Levy and Jeremy Sisto) was until last episode when they sat watching T.V. and he had her arm around her. I don’t know about you but that just seems more coupley than father daughter. The other big moment that stood out to me in the episode was the relationship between Dallas and George (Cheryl Hines and Jeremy Sisto). It finally progressed a little bit and I started to think, hey I really like them as a couple. Surprising, since Dallas is married but I have faith that the two will end up together. Thats what always happens anyways! Nothing else really happened in that episode though, except Tessa helped the school counselor admit he was gay, even though everyone already knew that. Weird, yes I know.
Onto Happy Endings! Alright, I’m gonna admit it, I LOVE this show. One of the best comedies that is on T.V. right now. People may say that it is a rip off of Friends, but it is so not! The character are different and there are different dynamics between the characters and it is just plain awesome! I love it! So this episode was all about how Dave’s(Zachary Knighton) dad was coming to visit them and how excited they all were that “Big” Dave was arriving! Then they find out he has a new girlfriend, and it’s Penny’s(Casey Wilson) mom. Hilarious hijinks occur when Penny starts acting like Dave is her younger brother and Dave basically starts acting like a child because everything is changing. Another reason why I love this show. Just pure awesome. Anyways, a side storyline is Alex, Max, and Brad(Elisha Cuthbert, Adam Pally, and Damon Wayans Jr.) who are trying to see if there is a call girl business running out of the Chinese restaurant across the street. How they go about this is amazing, the acting and writing was out of the park for this because I was laughing pretty hard. They find out that it actually is an English class and that they were wrong the entire time. The whole episode was great and I can’t wait for next weeks.
Now I know I promised the People’s Choice Awards but I just can’t bring myself to talk about this train wreck. I will say best moments hands down were, Neil Patrick Harris trying to have a musical number as the opening, Kaley Cuoco as host, Nina Dobrev winning Favorite TV Drama Actress, and How I Met Your Mother winning Favorite Network TV Comedy. Other than that it was long and drawn out and it was really not worth many people’s time
Alright, I think wrote enough for one post. A couple of small things, I have yet to watch Revenge, it is still sitting on my DVR, when I do there will be a little recap on that. Also, I figured I won’t bombard with the Thursday T.V. Show quite yet. They include Parks and Recreation, The Office, Grey’s Anatomy, The Vampire Diaries, and The Secret Circle. I did watch 30 Rock but I don’t feel confident in talking about since I don’t watch it on a regular basis! Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays are the big nights on T.V. so look out for those! Alright I will post soon!
